Direct cash cattle business is underway in some of the major U.S. feeding areas. Business is light to moderate so far, mainly at $126 on the live basis, down $2 on the week, with a few at $127. Bids are reported at $127 live and $202 to $203 dressed. This week’s offering at the Fed Cattle Exchange was 365 head. 80 head sold at $126, steady with the last test on February 7th, all from Kansas, all for 1 to 9 day delivery.
