There’s another Republican entrant in the Iowa secretary of agriculture race.
Chad Ingels, who farms in Fayette County in northeast Iowa, says continued expansion of conservation and water quality programs is a top priority. He spent 16 years with ISU Extension working on watershed improvement projects.
”The watershed projects I worked on in northeast Iowa were farmer-led,” Ingels says. “The farmers really took the lead on that and the Extension people and soil and water district people helped facilitate what the farmers needed and wanted to do.
