Soybeans were modestly higher on short covering and commercial buying, along with the lower dollar. The trade continues to watch weather in South America with near ideal weather in parts of the continent against dry conditions in some areas and too much rain in others. It’s roughly late July for crops in the Southern Hemisphere, with La Nina conditions expected to last through their summer. Soybean meal and oil were supported by commercial buying and the South American crop concerns.
