Livestock facility emissions reporting is on hold reportedly until a decision has been made by a federal appeals court. According to DTN, the EPA requested a delay beyond this Monday’s deadline but has not heard back.
Last fall, the court delayed the rule that requires emissions reporting of more than 100 pounds a day of ammonia or hydrogen sulfide, until January 22nd. Last Friday, the EPA filed a motion for a three-month delay saying producers are not ready to meet the requirements yet.
