A major U.S. brokerage has released its outlook for 2018 corn and soybeans – showing scenarios in which prices might break higher. Oversupply for both commodities remains an issue while demand is increasing for U.S. beans but not for corn.
Allendale’s Jim McCormick says the biggest problem in the bean market is the slowdown in exports which are 13% behind last year’s pace. He says China’s buying fewer U.S. beans while increasing its overall imports.
