A failure to thoroughly clean spray equipment might be contributing to crop damage from dicamba. Sprayer consultant Bob Wolf tells Brownfield greater attention has to be given to system hygiene.
Much of Wolf’s teaching and now consulting career has been focused on making sure the sprayer tank is cleaned out. Buts he points out issues in what he refers to as the Dicamba Era.
“The labels are being very, very specific regarding the application requirements, the parameters that have often been just a general thought,” Wolf told Brownfield Ag News.
