The sixth round of North American Free Trade Agreement re-negotiations begins Tuesday in Montreal. Mexico’s U.S. ambassador Geronimo Gutierrez tells Bloomberg TV the U.S., Canada and Mexico generally agree on about 40% of the topics being negotiated.
U.S. Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue says he has faith in President Trump’s ability to bring the talks to a successful conclusion.
“[President Trump is] a tough negotiator, and I think he wants a good for America, as I do,” said Perdue, in comments provided by the USDA.
