Russia is the catalyst as world wheat supplies continue to swell.
USDA World Agricultural Outlook chair Seth Meyer says they raised the Russian crop another 2 million metric tons.
“Just an amazing crop. They had record yields last year that we thought were off the charts. Well it’s off the charts this year compared to that year. Just big winter wheat yields and big spring wheat yields. A record crop.”
USDA recently increased its global wheat production forecast for the current marketing year 1.8 million tons.
