A Nebraska agronomist expects a big increase in dicamba-tolerant soybeans acres this year.
Neil Schumacher, lead agronomist for Central Valley Ag cooperative, says plantings of dicamba-tolerant soybeans in eastern Nebraska could double or triple in 2018.
“We could see 40 to 50 percent of our soybeans, that we’re handling, with a dicamba trait in them,” Schumacher says.
For some, it’s having the option of using dicamba for weed control, he says.
