Beginning farmers in Minnesota have another tool for accessing land and other assets.
A tax credit passed by the state legislature last year provides incentives to owners of land, livestock, facilities, or machinery who sell or rent to Minnesota residents who have farmed less than 10 years.
Karen Stettler with the Land Stewardship Project says the program will lead to more farmers on the land contributing to vibrant rural communities.
