Soybeans were modestly lower on commercial and technical selling, settling just above the day’s lows. The trade was getting ready for Friday’s USDA numbers, while watching weather in South America. CONAB raised its soybean production estimate for Brazil to 110.4 million tons citing generally good planting and development conditions, while the Rosario Grain Exchange lowered their outlook for Argentina to 52 million tons because of lower planted area. Many near term forecasts continue to have at least some rain for parts of Argentina, while longer term outlooks continue to be uncertain.
