The chief economist at USDA says many of last year’s trends that led to the third-highest ag export total on record remain in place going into 2018.
Robert Johannson says global GDP growth continues to improve.
“And in 2018 it’s expected to continue to go up. The value of the U.S. Dollar has declined since the beginning of 2017, and we expect it to continue declining in 2018.”
He points out a stronger world economy and weaker dollar are good for U.S.
