A record price has been paid for 77 acres of high-quality farmland in central Illinois. According to the Landowner newsletter, the Woodford County, Illinois farm sold for $15,850 dollars per acre last November.
Soy Capital Ag Services of Bloomington, Illinois handled the sale. They say the farm was 100% tillable with a soil productivity index of 142.
The firm says the previous auction price record was $15,500 dollars an acre for an 80-acre Woodford County farm, in August 2014.
