Soybeans were modestly lower on profit taking and technical selling, finishing closer to the session highs than to the lows. Near term, conditions in Brazil generally look good, and while parts of Argentina may be dry, it is still relatively early in their growing season. According to wire reports, more than 80% of Argentina’s first soybean crop is planted, in addition to more than 60% of the second crop. The final South American planted acreage totals will have at least some influence on U.S.
