The agriculture coalition fighting California’s upcoming action on glyphosate has gained some key allies.
Attorneys General in 11 states (including Indiana, Michigan, Iowa, Missouri, South Dakota and Wisconsin) have filed an amicus brief supporting a lawsuit that seeks to prevent California from listing the main ingredient of Round Up as a cancer-causing agent.
Monsanto and a coalition of agribusiness organizations led by the National Association of Wheat Growers have sued California saying that the state’s Proposition 65 violates the constitution.
