The director of state government relations with Indiana Farm Bureau says extending rural broadband to the last mile is a priority for the organization in the coming year.
Justin Schneider says having access to broadband is critical to a farmer’s way of life.
“We have high-tech tractors, combines, and planters, and yet farmers can’t download the data,” he says. “We need to be able to do that and farmers need to be able to market their products and purchase.”
He tells Brownfield investments need to be made.
