Demand will be the big story in 2018

A livestock market analyst says the latest round of Cattle on Feed and Hogs and Pigs reports show there will be more red meat production in 2018.
But, Don Close with RaboResearch says that doesn’t mean the market will tumble. “In no way do we need to look at this supply of product as a ruination or a wreck of the market,” he says. “I don’t think we’re there yet.”
