A Wisconsin legislator will become the Assistant Deputy Secretary of Agriculture.
Ag Secretary Sheila Harsdorf named Keith Ripp as her choice for the role Friday. Ripp will step down as Wisconsin’s 42nd Assembly District Representative January 1st.
Ripp has served as a State Representative since 2008. While in the Assembly, he was chair of both the Transportation and Consumer Protection committees, vice-chair for the Committee on Local Government and a member of the Agriculture Committee.
