Soybeans were higher Friday with South American weather good for Brazil, but not quite so good for Argentina. Argentina still doesn’t have adequate soil moisture and not much is seen over the next several days. Friday was the First Notice Day for the Jan contracts. Weekly export sales are in line with trade guesses. Soybean meal exports are running ahead of year-ago levels.
Corn was lower with ethanol futures flat and cold weather likely slowing ethanol production.
