Rep. Allen abandons effort to drop America’s Dairyland from Wisconsin plates

The author of a bill to drop the “America’s Dairyland” slogan from Wisconsin license plates says he’s withdrawing the legislation.
Representative Scott Allen issued a statement Wednesday saying that since offering the bill, his office has received a lot of feedback, and most people are opposed to the change.
Allen says although there is a small percentage of people who would like to see that label removed from the plate, he has learned most would rather we keep it.
