Producers will be eligible for federal crop insurance coverage in a few more areas in 2018.
In a bulletin released Monday, The USDA says Nebraska farmers can now apply for dry peas insurance in Chase, Dundy, Hayes, Hitchcock, Lincoln, and Red Willow counties.
Minnesota farmers in Itasca County can also insure wheat crops.
The USDA added 27 counties in thirteen states to the 2018 crop insurance eligibility area.
