Soybeans were modestly lower on speculative and technical selling, with January hitting another new three month low, unable to follow through on the early gains. Parts of southern Brazil and Argentina remain dry, but could receive rain in the next few days. It’s roughly mid-to-late June for crops in the southern hemisphere, with the current weak La Nina pattern expected to last through summer in the southern hemisphere/winter in the northern hemisphere.
