Prices were down overall during Tuesday’s Global Dairy Trade event. Most of the sales were whole milk powder and skim milk powder, which accounted for more than 3/4ths of the products sold. Whole milk powder sold at $1.25 a pound, down 2.5% from the last auction. Skim milk powder was down 4.8% selling at $.76 a pound.
The biggest drop was for Cheddar cheese, down 7.9% at $1.54 per pound. Anhydrous milk fat was down 6.7% at $2.90 a pound.
