U.S. milk production went up in November. The USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service report says 16.2 billion pounds of milk was produced in the 23 major milk producing states, up slightly more than one percent over October, and up 1-point-3 percent from a year ago.
Production per cow was nine pounds above a year ago averaging 1,861 pounds, the highest November per-cow production since record-keeping began in 2003.
