A Midwest farmer says he has no doubt that volatility of dicamba herbicide products is responsible for damage of non-dicamba tolerant crops. Jerry Nienhiser grows corn and soybeans in northwest Missouri’s Saline County. He tells Brownfield Ag News, “I have farmed for 52 years and I have applied many, many chemicals and this problem with dicamba is volatility. And until we address that we will not have a solution.”
The makers of the low volatility dicamba formulations, approved for use this year, say volatility is NOT one of the causes.
