Direct cash cattle trade has been quiet with just a few bids noted at $116 live and $186 dressed in parts of Nebraska. Packer inquiry is expected to improve as the day progresses. Asking prices have been reported at $119 in the South and $190 in the North. But significant trade volume could be delayed until Friday.
Boxed beef is mixed at the midday on light to moderate box movement. Choice is up $.63 at $203.11 and Select is $.49 lower to $184.53.
