Commodity groups welcome ministerial statement of support
Members of the U.S. Grains Council (USGC), U.S. Soybean Export Council (USSEC), U.S. Wheat Associates (USW), USA Rice, the National Corn Growers Association (NCGA), the National Sorghum Producers (NSP) and the National Barley Growers Association (NBGA) say they welcome a joint statement from countries at the WTO Ministerial Conference in Argentina. The statement supports farmer access to available technologies and opposes regulatory barriers lacking scientific justification.
The statement – from 17 countries at the conference – supports farmers using innovations to protect crops from disease and pests while delivering safe food sustainably to the world’s consumers.
