Direct cash cattle trade is quiet with action limited to the distribution of new showlists. Don’t look for trade activity to pick up until Wednesday or even later. Last week trade in the North ranged from $187.00 to $188.00 mostly $3 to $4 lower than the previous week’s weighted average basis in Nebraska. Southern live deals ranged from $115 to $118 also $3 to $4 lower than the previous week’s weighted average basis.
Boxed beef cutouts are mixed at the midday on light box movement.
