President Donald Trump reportedly is pushing lawmakers and stakeholders to find common ground on disagreements about the Renewable Fuel Standard. Thursday’s White House meeting was to discuss how to fix RFS compliance issues in a way that protects both refinery workers and corn farmers. A joint statement from GOP oil-state senators following the meeting called the gathering productive. The statement says oil-state lawmakers look forward to working with colleagues representing Midwest states to find a win-win solution.
