A southwest Indiana farmer says his farm remained largely unaffected by weather and disease pressure challenges other farmers faced this growing season.
Joe Steinkamp tells Brownfield he had record corn and soybean yields.
“We added 6 bushels to the acre to our highest average corn yield and our highest average soybean yield,” he says.
He says they missed the heavy rainfall that many other farmers received and were able to finish harvest in late October.
