Soybeans were modestly lower on commercial and technical selling. China and unknown destinations both bought U.S. beans, but physical shipments have been slow this marketing year. China bought 268,000 tons, all for 2017/18 delivery, and unknown picked up 129,000 tons, with 63,000 for this marketing year and 66,000 tons for next marketing year. Forecasts for South America are mixed, short term, some areas will see some rain, others won’t, with a long way to go in the growing season.
