A county in the southwest corner of Minnesota has been recognized for excellence in implementing programs that promote water quality.
The Rock County Land Management Office was one of 28 projects across the country the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) honored for its use of Clean Water State Revolving Funds.
Land Management director Eric Hartman says the people of Rock County deserve the credit, pointing to efforts that improve water quality like ag waste management through feedlot improvements and upgrading septic systems.
