The chief operating officer for one of the nation’s largest cooperatives says the current economic downturn in farming has brought the importance of predictive analytics to light.

Beth Ford with Minnesota-based Land O’Lakes tells Brownfield crop, livestock, and dairy producers are trying to maximize every dollar.

“A farmer is going to make a decision based on what the profitability is going to look like.  And that’s not just related to what’s going on in the commodity markets.
