The president of the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association, Craig Uden, says his group supports tax reform efforts in Congress.
Uden tells Brownfield they’re still pushing for a full repeal of the estate tax. And he says there are several other provisions important to cattlemen as well.
“179 exemptions, 1031 exchanges, interest expense deductions—these are all things we’re very concerned about,” Uden says. “Big tax breaks as far as the corporations out there will benefit some of the cattle feeding as well some of the ranching communities.
