Mexico’s ambassador to the United States says there is still a 50-50 chance that the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) will be terminated.
But Gerónimo Gutiérrez tells CBS Radio News he’s more optimistic now than he was several months ago.
“I think at the beginning of the year, the probability of having NAFTA terminated was around 80 percent. And I think we’re now about 50-50,” he says. “I think we’re a little bit better because, in spite of important differences, we’re communicating fluently.
