At the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, cattle futures were pressured by the continued weakness in wholesale value and the lower cash trade. However, feeder cattle had some support from the day’s lower move in corn. December live cattle closed $.27 lower at $115.62 and February live cattle closed $.60 lower at $118.67. January feeder cattle closed $.30 higher at $146.32 and March feeder cattle closed $.40 higher at $144.50.
Direct cash cattle trade has been light to moderate in the South.
