Two US Senators are leading a bipartisan effort to delay implementation of electronic logging devices (ELDs) for commercial livestock haulers.
Heidi Heitkamp of North Dakota and Jerry Moran of Kansas, along with a bipartisan group of Senators, have sent a letter to Senate leadership supporting a provision in the US House-passed Transportation, Housing, and Urban Development appropriations bill that would delay implementation of ELDs and provide time to make the necessary adjustments to the hours of service rules.
