Soybeans were modestly lower on profit taking, but most months did manage to hold above key support levels. Near term forecasts for Argentina and southern Brazil still look mostly dry, in-line with the current La Nina pattern, but it’s roughly early June in the southern hemisphere, so there is a long way to go. Conditions in the rest of Brazil are expected to generally be relatively good. Medium term outlooks do have a greater chance for rain, but the trade is taking a wait and see attitude towards totals.
