An Illinois Congresswoman says while tax reform is currently at the top of the “to-do” list in Washington, DC, debate over the 2018 Farm Bill is in sight.
Representative Cheri Bustos says, “tentatively it looks we will start looking at the farm bill more closely in about February of 2018.”
She says she has spent months talking with farmers in her district and they have made their top priority clear. “This time around, the number one ask I get is to make sure that above all else in our farm bill that we will pass sometime next year, is that we have a good crop insurance program as part of that,” she says.
