Soybeans were modestly higher on commercial and technical buying. Updated weather forecasts have a drier pattern for Argentina, potentially causing some harm during early development. Recent rainfall in Brazil looks generally beneficial, long term. Safras e Mercado says 90.5% of Brazil’s bean crop is planted, a little bit ahead of normal. It’s roughly early June for crops in the southern hemisphere, so there is a very long way to go, which pulled beans down from the session’s highs.
