The USDA reports corn and wheat export sales for the week ending November 23rd were below most pre-report expectations, while soybeans and soybean products were generally within analysts’ estimates.
Wheat came out at 184,400 tons (6.8 million bushels), down 8% from the week ending November 16th and 59% lower than the four week average. Colombia purchased 48,200 tons and Japan bought 44,200 tons. For the 2017/18 marketing year to date, wheat sales are 630.7 million bushels, compared to 693.2 million in about halfway through 2016/17.
