Direct cash cattle trade interest has picked up with some scattered bids reported. However, they are far from the current asking prices of $121 to $123 in the South and $193 to $195 in the North. Bids have been reported at $117 to $118 live and $188 to $190 dressed. Significant trade volume could be delayed until later today or pushed into tomorrow.
Boxed beef is lower at the midday on moderate box movement.
