Ted Matthews is contracted through the Minnesota Department of Agriculture to help rural families deal with stress.
He tells Brownfield farmers form the backbone of this country and are often under-appreciated and misunderstood.
“And for people to not recognize that and not support that. And to not help farmers and farming, is a true travesty.”
Matthews says many people outside of agriculture assume farmers are rich because they own land.
