Soybeans were steady to fractionally lower. Near term, parts of Argentina could get more rain, but long term outlooks are a little less certain. Conditions in Brazil are comparatively better and planting pace is close to normal. It’s roughly the equivalent of late May for crops in the Southern Hemisphere. Contracts tried to rally, but couldn’t follow through, even with a new sale of 263,000 tons of 2017/18 U.S. beans to China.
