A multi-state team of extension personnel are working to make ag research more understandable to farmers.
Sara Berg, an agronomy field specialist with South Dakota State University, says the project began with a survey of more than 1,100 producers and ag professionals in South Dakota, Minnesota, Nebraska, and Kansas.
“That really gave us something to begin with and look at what resources we can develop that would help farmers and professionals better understand these numbers and value them a little bit more, to help them in their operation.”
She tells Brownfield questions pertained to the value farmers place in different types of research, like plot size, replication and statistical data.
