Nebraska farmers took advantage of warm temperatures and a lack of moisture to finish harvesting corn.
In its latest crop update, the USDA says only three percent of the corn acreage remains, in line with last year and the five-year average.
The sorghum harvest is also close to complete, at 96 percent.
Winter wheat conditions are mostly fair to good, with seven percent rated excellent.
