Direct cash cattle trade is light with action limited to the distribution of new showlists. Don’t look for trade activity to pick up before Wednesday or even later. Last week saw a light to moderate trade develop on Tuesday with Southern live deals ranging from $117 to $119.50 – with most deals done around $118 about $1.00 lower than the previous week. Light to moderate business developed in all areas on Wednesday with deals in Kanas and Texas full steady with Tuesday and Northern dressed trade at $188 to $190, and mostly $192 – steady with the previous week’s weighted average basis in Nebraska.
