Soybeans were modestly higher on commercial and technical buying. Parts of South America received some rain over the weekend, but there some uncertainties about longer term forecasts for Argentina, at least partially because of the current weak La Nina pattern. In terms of planting and development, it’s roughly June in South America. Given the current export competition with South America, growing weather in the southern hemisphere will be watched closely.
