Wisconsin’s Governor opposes removing the America’s Dairyland slogan from the state’s vehicle license plates. In a radio interview last week, Scott Walker said, “We are proud to be America’s Dairyland” and that, “our bread and butter, literally and figuratively, is agriculture and manufacturing together.”
The proposal to change license plates was suggested by Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce and a bill was drafted by Waukesha Representative Scott Allen. Both have been getting pushback from the dairy industry.
