Direct cash cattle trade has been quiet following yesterday’s moderate to active trade in most areas. Live trade was at mostly $119, which is $3.00 to $4.00 lower than the previous week’s weighted averages. Northern dressed trade ranged from $188.00 to $190.00 – down $2.00 to $4.00 from last week’s weighted average basis in Nebraska. We could potentially see more trade today or tomorrow in the North – but business in the South looks to be wrapped up for the week.
